this Breton woman recounts her fight against anorexia

The story of Gaëlle Audo, 19, with anorexia began in 2021, after a slight weight gain that was not experienced well. Obsessed with losing those pounds, she began to exercise excessively and strictly control her diet, which led to depression and isolation. To the point of no longer having the energy to play sports, while at the same time, her loved ones saw her wasting away.

Aware of the harm she was doing to herself, the young woman, originally from Crédin (Morbihan), sought help and began her recovery in March 2022, understanding, through sessions with therapists, that anorexia is often a symptom of deep unhappiness linked to difficult life events .
