All these tips and many others regularly reach the ears of people affected by rheumatism such as osteoarthritis or arthritis. But what does the science really say about this painkiller diet?

Le Point: Do patients ask you more and more often for advice on diet?

Jérémie Salam:

Too often, they do not dare to broach the subject during consultations. Sometimes rheumatologists tend to respond condescendingly to patients’ questions about the links between diet and pain. We conducted a survey of more than three hundred patients on the improvement or deterioration of their symptoms depending on the foods consumed.
