Pink October: they had breast cancer before the age of 40

Diagnosed at: 36 ans
It was in 2005. Kylie Minogue, then at the height of her fame after the release of her hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” four years earlier, learned that she had breast cancer. The Australian singer must put her career on hold and postpone part of her tour to receive treatment. Nineteen years later, she remains marked by her fight against illness. “It’s a trauma, and like any trauma, it stays with you,” she confided to CBS News at the end of 2023.

Diagnosed at: 30 ans
“It was an uppercut to the chin.” Claudia Tagbo was 30 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine exam. At first she thought it was a joke. Today, the comedian, aged 51, spares no effort to publicly emphasize the importance of prevention. “We must not hesitate to feel ourselves, feel ourselves, feel ourselves,” she confided in 2023 at the microphone of Europe 1. “It’s doable, we can be cured.”

Diagnosed at: 35 ans
The French influencer discovered in May 2023 that she had aggressive breast cancer, detected at an early stage. She kept the secret for two months, before sharing a video on Instagram of herself, with her hair shaved, crying in the hospital. Since then, she has been documenting her return to “normal life,” she says. “We have to relearn how to live differently, to look at ourselves differently, to love ourselves differently and that’s what I’m currently experiencing,” she wrote last June.

Diagnosed at: 32 ans
The former Miss Burgundy is best known for being the companion of swimming champion Camille Lacourt. It was together that they publicly faced the breast cancer which struck the young woman in 2019, when their love story was just beginning. The couple widely shared Alice’s struggle, including her double mastectomy, on Instagram. They are now parents of a son, Marius, born in 2021.

Diagnosed at: 26 ans
In March 2024, the former reality TV candidate revealed on Instagram that she had aggressive breast cancer. Four months later, Eloïse, discovered in “Les Marseillais” and mother of a 2-year-old daughter, announced that she had reached the end of her chemotherapy. “After years spent in the dark, I found this light that shone within me, this inner flame that only asks to live.”
