The mosquito is colonizing our region, the ARS calls for great caution in the face of the risks of epidemic

It is autumn, and the risk of encountering mosquitoes is decreasing, and yet, the ARS calls for the greatest caution because the tiger mosquito is still very present in our region, all departments are now colonized. And at the regional health agency we do not hide our concern about the future risk of epidemics linked to the presence of this tiger mosquito which can cause significant health risks, it can in fact transmit dengue virus or chikungunya virus which can be fatal in vulnerable people.

Put away everything that can serve as a breeding ground for mosquito eggs

To prevent the proliferation of the tiger mosquito next summer, we must apply a few simple recommendations now, such as empty objects that contain water like flowerpot cups, buckets or watering cans, because this is where mosquitoes lay their eggs which will hatch next spring.
