Nationwide recall of smoked salmon trays sold at Metro due to labeling error

If you’re planning on buying salmon while grocery shopping, take a closer look at the packaging.

Since Tuesday, September 17, the Rappel Conso website has launched a national recall procedure concerning trays of smoked salmon, marketed by the Metro group, between September 3 and 10.

A labeling error is the cause

Rappel Conso indicates that these trays of smoked salmon display an incorrect use-by date.

More precisely, these are slices of salmon wrapped in plastic film and presented on an aluminum plate. The items bear the name “Wild smoked Pacific salmon slices 250 g”.

Only one batch is affected by this national recall: it bears the number 10467655, whose international article code number is 3760253173278.

On this batch, the label indicates a use-by date of October 24, 2024, while the correct date is September 29, 2024.

Conso Reminder warns that a “risk of microbiological development” may occur if you consumed this product after September 24.
