“During the first 2023-2024 campaign, 5,475 young people were vaccinated in colleges in the region, with an increase of 20 points among girls (from 35% to 55%) and a similar increase among boys (from 24% to 43%) for at least one dose,” recalls the agency.
In addition to vaccinations carried out in secondary schools, 5,704 children aged 11 were vaccinated with at least one dose by health professionals in the city, bringing the overall coverage rate of the age group to 35% as of December 31, 2024. .
This major prevention action aims for a vaccination coverage rate of 80% among girls and boys aged 11 to 14 by 2030.
