Numerous outages on the island of Montreal are depriving more than 50,000 homes of electricity. The outage, which began at 6:25 a.m., is attributable to equipment failure, according to Hydro-Québec. Service is expected to be restored around 7:15 a.m.

The affected customers are located in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension boroughs and in Ahunstic-Cartierville.
