Patients, visitors and professionals must again wear a mask in the care services of the health establishment.
While the Covid-19 epidemic has become, for many, a distant memory, the surgical mask is indeed making a comeback. The Thau Basin Hospitals announced, this Friday, January 17, on their social networks, that wearing a mask becomes compulsory in all its care services, both for patients, visitors and professionals. A measure “put in place to guarantee the safety of all in the face of increased risks of transmission of winter viruses and other infections”, it is thus indicated. All users are therefore invited to come with their mask or to ask for one at reception if necessary.
Hospital device in tension
According to the latest weekly bulletin published Wednesday by Santé Publique France, the flu epidemic is indeed intensifying in France and generating “very high hospital activity”. The Thau Basin Hospitals have also set up a “hospital in tension” system, until January 20, to deal with epidemics and the emergency situation.
