Burgundy-Franche-Comté has entered its fourth week of the flu epidemic with “very strong viral dynamics” observed by Public Health France in community medicine, as well as in terms of regulation and visits to emergency rooms. She has also entered her fifth week of bronchiolitis epidemic.
“In this context, the health system is under great tension and health professionals are facing very high activity,” underlines the ARS of Burgundy-Franche-Comté. Also, the latter recommends that all health and medico-social establishments make the wearing of masks compulsory on their sites and strengthen hygiene and prevention measures.
A collective mobilization
“Beyond hospital enclosures, each resident has the power to act to reduce the circulation of viruses, protect themselves and those who are most vulnerable! “. We recommend wearing a mask in the event of symptoms or in situations of promiscuity and barrier gestures (washing hands as frequently as possible, regularly ventilating enclosed spaces).
The ARS also insists on good reflexes for “reasonable use” of hospital emergency services: contact your doctor first or dial 15 for care adapted to the patient’s needs.
Vaccination. It is always possible to get vaccinated to protect yourself against serious forms of flu and Covid. This double vaccination is recommended for those over 65, people who are immunocompromised or suffering from chronic illnesses as well as pregnant women.
