Keano ‘Kiki’ Vanrafelghem will discover the Jupiler Pro League. The former Sporting Hasselt and Club NXT player will join Mechelen.
Mechelen has already been active at the start of the transfer window. KaVé have already signed Stephen Welsh from Celtic Glasgow on loan, signed Frederik Hammar from Hammarby and signed Deinze goalkeeper Nacho Miras for free.
But the Besnik Hasi club does not intend to stop there. The club is on the verge of completing the transfer of Keano Vanrafelghem, announced a few days ago.
Het Laatste Nieuws, Gazet van Antwerpen, as well as Sacha Tavolieri notably confirmed the information. Mechelen has reached an agreement with Patro Eisden for one of the revelations of the season in the Challenger Pro League.
A promising scorer at KaVé
The young attacker is present behind the barracks to carry out his medical examinations. His arrival should then be made official. If his market value is only estimated at €900,000 on Transfermarkt, many rumors say that thanks to Stijn Stijnen, who hoped to see several million euros land, the 21-year-old player could bring in big money for the Patro.
This season he has scored eight goals in 15 matches. Vanrafelghem trained in the Club Bruges academy, then joined Patro Eisden in January 2023. He was then loaned for half a season to Sporting Hasselt. This will therefore be his first adventure at the highest level.
