On Sunday December 1, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Réunion Association for the Prevention of Risks Related to Sexuality and Harassment (ARPSH) is organizing the “Solida’VIH” Health Village. It is a day of inclusion and well-being, open to all, while being particularly dedicated to the most deprived people, people in situations of vulnerability, isolation, disabilities and seniors.

On the program, free breakfast and meals, sports activities and musical entertainment.

Personalized support will also be offered to volunteers, to direct them towards health resources and services.

– Anonymous and free screening (HIV, hepatitis, diabetes, etc.)
– Prevention and information workshops
– Personalized advice from health professionals
– Information on access to rights
– Dissemination of material for risk reduction

A festive and inclusive setting to promote health.

In addition to the activities, well-being workshops (aesthetics, makeover) will be distributed to strengthen self-esteem.

In , condom use is declining, while HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are on the rise.

According to the latest available data, which dates from 2023, 41 people have tested positive for HIV. Concerning STIs of bacterial origin, the figures have started to increase again, after having declined over the previous twenty years.
