NÎMES The University Hospital launches its PsyTRUCK 3.0 project

Nearly a quarter of the French and European population suffers from mental illnesses (depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, etc.) for which prevention is a public health issue, especially among adolescents and young adults whose health Mental health has deteriorated particularly since the health crisis.

The Nîmes University Hospital and the City of Nîmes, aware of the importance of early management of emerging psychological disorders among young people, wanted to engage in “going towards and as close as possible”.

The objective of the partners is to deploy, locally in the municipal territory and aimed at young people aged between 15 and 30, health care services, including prevention actions.

The City of Nîmes, signatory of a local health contract (CLS) with the regional health agency (ARS) , is committed to developing a public health policy for its residents, and in particular through the support for the organization of primary care in mental health matters.

The “PsyTRUCK 3.0” project is an innovative system which offers a place of reception, information, evaluation and guidance for young people aged 15 to 30 experiencing psychological difficulties in their daily life (mental suffering, thought or mood disorder, impact on schooling or daily life, etc.).

To do this, “PsyTRUCK 3.0” will offer weekly slots for a mobile activity allowing young people aged 15 to 30 to access an assessment and guidance consultation.

This agreement defines the terms of cooperation between the Nîmes University Hospital and the City of Nîmes as part of the deployment of the “PsyTRUCK 3.0” project.
