Friday November 22, in partnership with the team of the Public Vaccination Center (CVP) of the Cornouaille Concarneau hospital center, the Douarnenez hospital center is mobilizing to offer awareness-raising action on vaccination. “There will be a doctor, three nurses. We will carry out an individual interview with whoever comes in order to carry out a vaccination assessment. It’s open to everyone. If people wish, we can offer vaccination for free,” summarizes Doctor Lydie Katchatourian, infectious disease doctor and head of the vaccination center at Quimper hospital which operates once a week in Douarnenez. Patients will be able to benefit from the latest vaccines adapted to the new variant of covid-19 and seasonal flu.

An update on your vaccination schedule

Vaccination against flu or covid is free for people over 65 and those with at-risk pathologies, but others must pay a certain amount if they wish to avoid these winter viruses. Friday, November 22, all those who come, regardless of their age and state of health, will be vaccinated free of charge.

“We wanted to take advantage of this period to also address other vaccinations that are less talked about, such as whooping cough for example. Or, we are in a region where people garden a lot so it’s always good to make sure that their tetanus vaccination is up to date, for example,” continues Lydie Khachatourian. This will also be an opportunity to take stock of your vaccination schedule: diphtheria-tetanus-poliomyelitis and whooping cough, anti-pneumococcal vaccination, vaccination against Papillomavirus (HPV).

Practical

Friday November 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Douarnenez hospital center. Free and without appointment.
