On Friday November 22, 2024, the ECLAT association welcomes Professor Miguel Jean for a captivating conference-debate entitled “ digital health: between doubts and certainties, what ethical issues ? “. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the IBIS hotel, boulevard des Océanides in Pornichet.

A recognized expert in the service of ethical reflection

Miguel Jean, lecturer and hospital practitioner at University Hospital, is an eminent figure in the field of medical ethics. With more than 25 years of experience, including a decade as head of the Biology and Reproductive Medicine department, he currently directs the Clinical Ethics Consultation at Nantes University Hospital. From 2015 to 2024, he also served as director of the Ethical Reflection Space.

Topics covered: challenges and dilemmas of digital health

This conference will address the undeniable benefits of digital technologies in the medical sector, while highlighting the complex ethical questions they pose. Among these, equitable access to care, the confidentiality of health data and the evolution of the relationship between patient and caregiver will be at the heart of the discussions.
