Facilitate access to supportive care for sick people. the league against cancer is working in the Alpes-Maritimes to reach all people affected by cancer. The idea: set up a guide with eight associations* help to people who have or are in remission from this disease of the century.
A guide for everyone affected by the disease
How to access this guide: “each person who has cancer must be able to leave with the guide to find supportive care” explains Laurence Cressin-Bensa of the League Against Cancer 06 who notes that many patients “are unaware of supportive care that is beneficial“in this journey of life.”It is unacceptable that a person who is told about this illness cannot have access to supportive care.“. In short, the collective of associations wishes the end of “deal with it”.
Close to the homes of cancer patients
This better support will also be followed by rationalization: “avoid duplicates in the city center” on activities and better dialogue between associations to better cover the territory et be closer to the sick. This is the objective of the President of the Alpes-Maritimes Committee of the League
against cancer.
