Tobacco-free month in Paimpol: two meetings to get help

The Paimpol Health Center and Health Point offer two meetings in connection with No Tobacco Month, in November. “We have been responding to the call for projects from the Primary Health Insurance Fund for several years,” explains coordinator Valérie Le Grand. The challenge we are seeking to take up, with smokers, is to stop smoking for at least this month of November.”

Getting help, when trying to quit smoking, is a real advantage and this is why two meetings are proposed, on November 8 and 15.

A tobacco specialist, working at the Paimpol hospital, will attend. As well as a dietician, “because one of the most frequently conveyed ideas is that quitting smoking makes you gain weight. It’s not as simple as that,” add the caregivers.

Please note that this first meeting can also be followed in hospital and receive treatment.

The public will be welcomed at the Dunant Center on 8, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. And at the Health Center, at the Résidence du Quinic, on the 15th, in the same time slot.

Participation is free and, depending on the number of participants, people may be interviewed individually. This is why it is advisable to register by telephone at 06 31 27 96 99 or 06 79 92 17 24.
