Every year in November, No Tobacco Month invites smokers to take on an essential challenge: quit smoking to improve their health. This awareness month is based on concrete actions and various workshops. Objective, to support smokers in their quitting process.

From tomorrow and throughout the month of November, Tobacco-Free Month is taking place almost everywhere in . A national program to encourage and support cigarette consumers to quit smoking. A gradual weaning which has many immediate health benefits such as a slowing of the heart rate, better blood circulation and increased oxygenation of the muscles.

This year again, each city is implementing a support program. In , it begins with an information session on the dangers of tobacco and the advantages of a smoke-free life. Then, various weekly workshops, led by health professionals, are offered. For example, participants will be able to discover various methods of helping with quitting, attend workshops on diet management or participate in relaxation sessions, such as yoga, to relieve the stress often associated with quitting smoking. .

Physical activity also plays a crucial role in the program. Indeed, it not only helps to alleviate withdrawal symptoms. It also strengthens physical and psychological health, thus contributing to more effective and pleasant weaning. The program will offer Fit’Danse, Fit’Circuit sessions and other outdoor activities. The goal is to encourage participants to maintain an active lifestyle. These sessions are accessible for a symbolic cost of two euros and are suitable for all levels.

No Tobacco Month to raise awareness

No Tobacco Month is also an opportunity to inform and raise awareness among the general public about the dangers of passive smoking. This scourge affects many non-smokers every year. The dangers of toxic substances present in cigarette smoke, several of which are carcinogenic, are recalled to encourage a collective commitment against smoking.

By participating in these actions, smokers find valuable support and increase their chances of success. Because being well surrounded is fundamental to reaching this milestone. Thus, the Month Without Tobacco, supported by a team of professionals, offers smokers a favorable framework to achieve their goal. In this fight against tobacco, every small step counts and contributes to a notable improvement in the quality of life of participants.

Week 2:

Thursday November 7 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.: methods to help quit smoking – at 6 rue Tonduti de l’Escarène (Nice Facile one-stop shop). Led by Dr Anel ANTOINE and Dr Benjamin NABET: pharmacists

Week 3:

Wednesday November 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: manage your diet when stopping smoking – at 6 rue Tonduti de l’Escarène (Nice Facile one-stop shop)

Week 4:

Wednesday November 20: From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: information point on tobacco + delivery of tobacco-free month kits – Reception of the vaccination center at 10 rue Hancy.

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.: yoga session – Maison des associations Saint-Roch at 50 boulevard Saint Roch.

Week 5:

Friday November 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. : guided tour Acti’Santé walking loop Nice – meet at the Gorbella tram stop (line 1)
