For many years, the Territorial Food Program (PAT) of the Midi-Quercy country has been developing actions around food and particularly in the collective catering sector. After undertaking a supply diagnosis, the community proposed various interventions and activities to establishments managing collective catering: information on the Égalim law, training for cooks, support for investment via measure 14, construction of a recipe booklet with school lessons, support for the integration of fresh, seasonal and local products, etc.
In order to continue actions in the direction of local food, of quality conducive to maintaining good health of residents, specific activities around nutrition were offered in several medico-social establishments in the region. Thus, the Midi-Quercy country, in partnership with Civam-Semailles, the departmental laboratory and the producers of the Midi-Quercy country, intervened in the months of September and October in three senior reception structures: the Marpa de Montalzat and the nursing homes of Nègrepelisse and Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. All three very involved expressed their wish to develop the nutritional aspect, conducive to healthy aging, despite the lack of financial resources.
