Saint-Jean-du-Falga. A lively month of October

The month of October promises to be full of events in Saint-Jean-du-Falga, with solidarity initiatives, cultural activities and various festive events for young and old.

As part of Pink October, the Gaston Fèbus Multiprofessional Health Center is organizing a health and cancer prevention day on October 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the parking lot of the association center. An awareness village will accompany the presence of the mobile on this occasion.

On October 12, the Emmaüs companions invite the public to discover the solidarity greenhouses. A guided tour will take place, around an exhibition of the equipment and a presentation of the varieties of vegetables processed. Visitors will be able to buy pumpkins and taste the apple juice squeezed by the companions.

On October 13, the Aragon room hosts the traditional garage sale of the Cité d’Exchange association. This unmissable event for good deals has become a real treasure hunt: for some, the opportunity to find the coveted object or a nugget; for others, that of emptying their attic or their house.

October 16, from 2 p.m., will mark the return of the monthly lotteries of the Soleils d’Automne association to the Aragon room.

On October 18, from 10 a.m., Aragon room, the association “Why not me” returns with “An eye for access”. A forum dedicated to visually impaired people and those suffering from “DYS” disorders. On the program for the day, two round tables: the first devoted to accessibility and cultural practice for people with visual impairments, and the second to playful accessibility for people with “DYS” disorders.

On October 20, on Place Jean-Jaurès, the “Gym relaxation for all” association hosts the “Road Tour Sport for all”. Young and old alike will be invited to learn and discover various activities.

On October 27, in the Aragon room, the festival committee is offering a new event, a first to prepare for Christmas on a low budget: a “toy and childcare clearance” combined with a “bicycle exchange” to sell toys, books, bicycles, consoles games or to hunt for nuggets at a low price. A great opportunity to find gifts to slip under the tree or to treat yourself.

From October 23 to November 3, the crushing operation returns. Place your branches in the shredded kiosk, 5 rue Sully in front of Emmaüs. They will be crushed and you can come back and collect the crushed material for your garden free of charge.
