Ms. Rivas will therefore be the proud ambassador of the 2024 edition of the annual MS Walk of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada which will take place this year on May 26.

This event, which will take place from coast to coast, serves to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis and to support people living with this disease.

The population of Mauricie is also invited to participate in one of the three marches which will leave simultaneously at 11 a.m. from La Tuque (Saint-Louis park), Shawinigan (Saint-Maurice park) and Trois-Rivières (Pius XII park). ).

Funding

For the Multiple Sclerosis Canada – Mauricie region organization, this is also a major fundraising event.

“Thanks to the funds raised through this event, MS Canada – Mauricie region is able to invest in MS research and fund essential services with a view to changing lives here in Mauricie. Services such as physical activity, psychological support and home help.”

Businesswoman Laurie Bellerive will act as honorary president of the event.
