Despite all your efforts, the needle on the scale doesn’t move a bit? Your metabolism is probably slowing down a bit. To boost all that and lose weight, here is the simple tip to put in place today.

If despite your efforts to lose those last few pounds that are bothering you, your weight has remained stable for a while, it could be due to a slow metabolism. This limits your body’s ability to burn calories efficiently. Fortunately, it is possible to restart a slow metabolism with a few simple tips, including one that can be easily incorporated into your daily routine.

As Dr Jimmy Mohamed explains, to lose weight, you need to increase your energy expenditure and reduce your caloric intake a little. However, sometimes that is not enough. It happens that some people follow their dietary rebalancing program to the letter, without succeeding in losing weight. Whose fault is it ? To your slow metabolism! It can be explained by a hormonal imbalance, certain illnesses, poor quality sleep, etc. The idling body stores more calories than it burns and produces less energy. The objective therefore is to restart the machine to have a faster metabolism, and thus end up getting rid of your extra pounds. To achieve this, nothing could be simpler thanks to this tip that everyone can follow on a daily basis. It’s just about drinking water. Several studies have in fact demonstrated that drinking 500 ml of water increases the metabolic rate by 30%. Dr Jimmy Mohamed specifies that consuming 1 liter of water per day corresponds to 100 extra calories burned per day. Interesting, right? Dehydration has been proven to greatly slow down metabolism. It is therefore essential to respect the daily recommendation which is 1.5 liters per day to 2 liters, or approximately 8 large glasses of water, to be consumed throughout the day.

But how to think about it and achieve this goal? First start by replacing all the sugary drinks you consume with water. In the morning, take a bottle or flask that will follow you everywhere. Choose a model that you like and that you want to use. For example, some water bottles will allow you to measure your daily water consumption using time markers. To increase your water intake, also opt to use a straw rather than drinking directly from the glass or from the neck, which will allow you to ingest a larger quantity in less time.
