They are much more ecological and economical than plastic bottles and, depending on their material, they can keep cold (and sometimes even hot) for a certain time. Both adults and children are therefore equipped with it, and that’s so much the better! But you have to be careful if you bought metal water bottles for your tribe: several models are recalled.

Recall of three water bottles for children

The RappelConso site reveals that the Vilac brand is recalling three metal water bottles intended for children. Here are their references:

• Metal bottle, school of mousses, Vilac: reference 9309, barcode 3048700093097, lot number 27359

• Metal gourds Ingela P. Arrhenius, Vilac: reference 7760, barcode 3048700077608, lot number 26349

• Michelle Carlslund metal water bottles, Vilac: reference 8548, barcode 3048700085481, batch number 26349

All these Vilac children’s water bottles were marketed between June 21, 2021 and June 3, 2024 in stores located throughout France and on the Internet.

These metal water bottles are being recalled because they do not comply with regulations on materials brought into contact with food (MCDA). A “specific migration of aluminum with acid contact” has indeed been observed, which represents a health risk.
