Louane, patron of the Belle & Rose association, was at the Nîmes University Hospital this Wednesday, September 25 in the morning to support the fight against breast cancer.

As part of the 31e edition of Pink October, Louane, patron of the Belle & Rose association, went to the Nîmes University Hospital (CHU) for a day dedicated to support and solidarity.

A tribute to the healthcare teams

This Wednesday, September 25, the singer met two patients from the oncology department in an intimate atmosphere. She gave them a “well-being box” prepared by the Belle & Rose association, chaired by Marlène Gallouedec. Beyond this intimate moment with the patients, Louane also took the time to thank the care and medical teams of the Cancer Institute (ICG) within the Nîmes University Hospital. As a token of appreciation for their daily commitment to patients and their families, she gave them “well-being pouches” offered by Belle & Rose.

This event is part of a series of actions organized by the Nîmes University Hospital and its partners as part of Pink October. This 31e edition aims to raise awareness among the general public about the importance of early detection, which significantly increases the chances of recovery, as well as to support patients and their loved ones. Throughout the month of October, CHU healthcare professionals and their associative partners will offer various educational and informative events to raise awareness of the issues related to breast cancer prevention.

CHU program for Pink October

The CHU program includes thematic workshops, such as “Cancer and Sexuality” and “ Therapy”, led by specialists, as well as information stands within the ICG. These stands will allow visitors to learn more about the importance of screening and simple actions that can save lives, such as self-examination.

An art exhibition to support the cause

In parallel with these awareness-raising actions, the Belle & Rose association presents an artistic exhibition in the hall of the ICG. Mixing photography, with the works of Andres Roé, and painting, with the creations of Nicole Bousquet, this exhibition is an artistic tribute to women affected by breast cancer. Art, here, becomes a vector of awareness and support, allowing to create a link between the public, patients and their loved ones.
