Today or tomorrow, we are or will be caregivers of a fragile person, an elderly parent, a sick relative. Being listened to, heard, understood but also receiving wise advice allows us to feel supported and to continue to move forward by feeling supported. The support and respite platform for caregivers, funded by the regional health agency and supported by APAS 82 (Association Promotion, Autonomie et Santé), has the mission of supporting people who accompany an elderly parent, a sick relative with memory problems and/or loss of autonomy.
Registration required
The platform team, as part of its support for caregivers, can also meet you at home for more individual listening. As part of its missions, the support and respite platform for caregivers in partnership with the French association of caregivers offers you a caregiver café, on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the premises of APAS 82, located at 25 rue Lavoisier in Caussade. Registration is mandatory at 05 63 20 57 21.
Whether you are directly or indirectly concerned, caregiver, friend, neighbor, the caregivers’ café is a friendly and warm moment to exchange but also to be informed about the disease, the effects of aging, possible aids, how to facilitate and improve daily life, etc. Yohana Bustamante or Sabrina Pinto, field professionals, will welcome you and lead these meetings. The next caregivers’ café in Caussade will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024. These meetings are free.
APAS 82, established in Caussade since April 1, 2021, manages a day center specializing mainly in supporting people over 60 years old suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or related diseases and, for certain day centers, people suffering from other neurodegenerative diseases.
