With the 2024 school year well underway, the Parents’ Association (Apel) of the Jeanne d’Arc nursery and primary school is preparing for a dynamic year. At its next general meeting, scheduled for September 30 at 7 p.m., the association’s board will be renewed, and Apel hopes to welcome many new parents motivated to get involved in the life of the establishment. Chloé Delpon, current president, underlines the importance of this involvement: “We listen to the ideas and needs of parents to enrich the children’s experience at school.”

Among the first dates to remember, the ELA cross in partnership with the Saint-Louis college, which will take place on October 13, as well as the traditional quine planned for November 15 at the Agora hall. As every year, the cake and jewelry operations are always highly anticipated and allow us to raise funds to finance school projects. A new action for Pink October is also under consideration, in favor of the oncology department of . The Apel does not forget the festive spirit with the visit of Santa Claus to the school and the Christmas snack offered to all the children. As for the end-of-year fair last year, it was a great success, and the association hopes to repeat this great experience in 2025. “The mutual aid with the Capde association, the Ape of the public school, which lent us stands, made it possible to offer varied games to the children, and we hope to reproduce this great cooperation”, specifies Ms. Delpon.

Improvement work was also carried out during the summer, particularly in the playground to offer students an ever more pleasant environment. This year, the theme of music will punctuate educational activities, and Apel is considering integrating this theme into its future actions. “We work closely with the teachers and school staff to offer children the best conditions for learning and fun,” concludes the president. Apel remains attentive to families to make this new school year a collective success.
