Most of the PGA Tour's big stars are on vacation, but that doesn't mean there aren't interesting stories to watch this week at the Butterfield Championship in Bermuda.
We were particularly watching the young 16-year-old prodigy Miles Russell who was participating in the second professional tournament of his career.
Russell finds himself at +2 after 15 holes after his round was interrupted due to darkness.
The teenager started his round nervously with a doubley bogey and a bogey on the first two holes. He bounced back with three birdies on the front nine, but stumbled again before the round was stopped.
It was also a particularly special day for brothers George and Wesley Bryan, popular on YouTube with their Bryan Bros Golf channel.
The two brothers had already participated in two PGA tournaments together, but they had never played in the same group.
For Wesley, it's a crucial week as he sits at 128e rank in the FedEx Cup standings in the fall, while only the top 125 will earn a PGA Tour card for next season.
Wesley finds himself provisionally tied for 6th place at -4 after 16 holes, while his brother George finds himself at +3.
Americans Justin Lower and Hayden Springer moved to the top of the rankings with a cumulative score of -6.
Springer currently occupies the 125th and last rank giving access to a circuit membership card for next year and a good performance could secure his job for the year 2025.
For his part, Lower finished in 2nd place last week in Mexico when he came just short of winning his first victory on the circuit.
