Second in the Czech Republic, Maxence Giboudot will continue his season in China

On the gong, Maxence Giboudot put in a magnificent performance this week to save his card and continue his season. Benjamin Follett-Smith pocketed the bet.

Behind the untouchable Benjamin Follett-Smithbig winner with five strokes in advance, Maxence Giboudot signed the best performance of his very young career. The one who arrived on the Challenge Tour at the start of the year after making the cut at PQ3 of the European Cards took second place in the D+D REAL Czech Challenge.

A position he shared with the Finn Oliver Lindell. This Saturday, the Jura player signed a solid 65 (-5) without the slightest false note to reach the final score of -23.

121st in the order of merit before this tournament, the young man, only 20 years old, needed a big result to, firstly, qualify for the next two tournaments in China reserved for the top 72 of the Road and save his card for next season. And to, perhaps, dream a little more at the end of the season. With this result, the Frenchman moved up to 63rd place overall.

Despite his 66 (-4), Felix Mory did not progress in the rankings. The Lille resident recorded six birdies and two bogeys. He finally took 23rd place alongside Gary Stallauthor of an error-free 65 (-5) this Saturday.

Same score for Clement Guichard (-11, 47th). He was one length ahead Andoni Etchenique et Pierre Pineau (52es). Damien Perrier (-6, 71st), winner of the 2016 edition, finished at the back of the pack.
