Are you looking for a sporting or outdoor leisure activity? This might be an opportunity to try your hand at golf…That’s good: this fall 2024, six golf courses in Toulouse and its surrounding region are organizing open days or free initiations.
These are the six UGOLF-labelled golf courses near Toulouse, i.e. those of Seilhfrom Teoula (Plaisance-du-Touch), La Ramée (Tournefeuille), by Lou Verdaï, (Portet-sur-Garonne), of Fiac (Tarn) and Las Martines (Isle-JourdainGers).
A discovery supervised by professionals
“These free initiations take place in a relaxed atmosphere and supervised by professionals,” announces Eric ZontaSouth West regional director for UGOLF.
“Whether for a first use of the equipment, an introduction to the rules of the game, or a first swing on the driving rangeeverything is done so that you can discover this sport at your own pace, without pressure. Our initiations are designed so that everyone leaves with a smile and, perhaps, the desire to continue the golfing adventure.”
Also fight clichés
“Golf is above all a question of pleasure and conviviality,” explain the UGOLF instructors. “We want everyone to be able to discover this sport in a relaxed and welcoming environment. »
“Contrary to the elitist image it may have had in the past, golf is today an activity accessible to all. Suitable for all ages and all fitness levels, golf is an excellent way to stay in shape while enjoying the great outdoors,” explains Eric Zonta, also convinced that coming and trying “will dispel a lot of bad information conveyed on the impact of golf, particularly in terms of the environment.
800,000 regular practitioners
The leading individual sport in the world, Golf has more than 445,000 licensees et 800 000 regular practitioners, making it the fourth individual discipline practiced in the country.
Last year, the free initiations offered by UGOLF brought together 30,000 people.
