The Léry-Poses golf course (27) receives the first stage of the European cards (PQ1)

The Léry-Poses golf course (Eure), managed since 2021 by Jean-Claude Forestier, will host the PQ1 of the European cards between September 24 and 27. 27 French players will be at the start, including the experienced Victor Riu, Jérôme Lando-Casanova and Jérémy Gandon, as well as Mathis Pansart, Antoine Pouguet and Marius Cara, the residents of Altus Performance, the training structure installed on the nearby Golf PGA du Vaudreuil.

After Hardelot (62) and Moliets (40), it’s the turn of the Léry-Poses golf course (27) to receive between Tuesday and Friday one of the nine stages of the PQ1 of European cardsNestled in a loop of the Seine, the Léry-Poses golf course includes two courses, an 18-hole course of 6,193 meters and a compact 9-hole course of 900 meters.

Designed by H. James Bakerit was inaugurated in 1989 and is part of the activities offered by the leisure center of theSeine-Eure Agglomeration. Since 2021, Jean-Claude Forestier is responsible for it and ensures its management through the PGA Golf Course of Vaudreuil.

102 players were listed in the Entry List on the eve of the first round this Tuesday, September 24. Among them, 27 French. Victor Riu, Jerome Lando-Casanova, Frank Daux or even Jeremy Gandonbased in Dallas (Texas) and who played this season on the PGA Tour Americasthe 3rd US Division, are the most experienced. Let us also mention the “locals” such as Mathis Pansart, Antoine Pouguet or even Marius Cara. All three are boarders ofAltus Performancethe training structure installed on the PGA Golf Course in Vaudreuil, an essential stopover in the Challenge Tour.

At the end of these four days of competition, around twenty players will have qualified for the PQ2 which will be held between October 31 and November 3 at four locations in Spain: Almeria (Desert Springs Resort), Huelva (Ilsa Canela Links), Albacete (Golf Las Pinaillas) and Gerona (Fontanals Golf Club). The grand finale (PQ3) will take place from November 8 to 13, still in Spain, at Tarragona on the Infinitum Golf Lakes.
