Even at home, Xander Schauffele remains absent

After dropping out at the American Express, the San Diego player will miss the Farmers Insurance Open next week, which he is a regular at. He will not play the next TGL match either.

The return of Xander Schauffele has Torrey Pines promised to be triumphant. Last year, the world number 2 won two Major tournaments and fans in his hometown were happy to applaud him during the Farmers Insurance Open.

But after giving up before the start of l’American Express without giving any particular reason, he did not register for the tournament in which he participated for nine consecutive years. The team of Xander Schauffele invoked a “medical problem” as the reason for his abandonment and then his absence, without giving further details.

New rumors of departure on the LIV Golf

This absence of Xander Schauffele has sparked speculation since he took part in the inaugural match of the DATE on January 7. The previous week, he had participated in the opening tournament of the PGA Tour, The Sentryand finished in 30th place in a tournament in which he has already excelled in the past. The TGL team of Xander Schauffele, NYGCmust play next Tuesday against Atlanta Drive GCbut he was not expected to be lined up, probably to be able to compete in the Farmers Insurance Open.

After his first Major victory at PGA Championshiprumors were rife about his possible defection to the LIFE Golf. But his father, Stefan Schauffele, cut it short : “Xander doesn't chase money. Xander wants to leave a mark. And in my opinion, as a father, there was never a chance”he declared.

The next opportunity for Xander Schauffele to play on the PGA Tour will be in thirteen days atAT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Amsecond Signature Event of the season.
