Four times winner of the Alfred Dunhill Championship between 2004 and 2015, five times second from 2005 to 2023, the South African Charl Schwartzel, holder of the green jacket of the Masters since 2011, had a completely crazy 3rd round this Saturday at Leopard Creek, signing a catastrophic first leg before completing his return with five birdies in six holes…

Ambushing in fifth place at -7 entering this Moving Day, Charl Schwartzel40 years old, winner of the Masters 2011 and member of LIFE started his day in the worst possible way by conceding, hold on, a triple bogey (at 3), two doubles (at 1 and 8) and a bogey (at 5). A real way of the cross barely mitigated by a birdie on the par 4 of 6. +7 after only eight holes!

More than one would have either given up or given up while waiting to treat themselves to a good beer at the clubhouse. But the South African is not made of that wood. After four pars in a row from 9 to 12, he then pulled off five birdies on his last six holes, including four in a row between 15 and 18. With the final bouquet being this incredible feat from the dropping zone of 18 (here -below). Great art!
