In a first round where scores under par were legion, Jasmine Suwannapura put the first score with her 63 (-8). Céline Boutier and Perrine Delacour are currently in the spotlight of the cut.

The Pinnacle Country Club did not resist this Friday against the assaults of the best players in the world during the opening of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. More than half of the participants played under par and the cut could be around -1.

Among the many cards in the red, the best was signed by Jasmine Suwannapura with an excellent 63 (-8). The 31-year-old Thai, without a victory in the USA since 2019, made no mistakes in Arkansas.

The double winner on the LPGA is far from having made the difference in this event played over 54 holes. There are four of them at a length, like the Spaniard Carlota Ciganda and the Chinese Liqi Zeng. She occupies 42nd place, one stroke behind Lexi Thompson (27th) and two from Jeeno Thitikul (14es).

Perrine Delacour played one unit more than his compatriot and is on the verge of the provisional cut in 62nd place. Her 70 (-1) was not easy, she conceded four bogeys against an eagle and three birdies. For Agathe Laisnéthe weeks follow one another and are similar. She returned a 73 (+2) and is already stuck in 118th position. The Frenchwoman will need a big score this Saturday to hope to make the cut.
