It was supposed to be a farewell to a show. It is finally a man that we mourn this Friday, September 13 on France 3. Patrice Laffont should have hosted with Laurent Romejko the last one Numbers and lettersthe famous game show that accompanied viewers for 52 years. It was finally alone that the second appeared on the air tonight to honor the memory of his friend. On August 7, Patrice Laffont died suddenly of a heart attack while he was at home in Oppède in Vaucluse. At 84, the former presenter was rarely seen on television. In recent months, however, he had made a remarkable return to the small screen.

Questioned by Laurent Romejko, the former presenter of Affaire conclue gave a raw memory of Patrice Laffont: « First he was super grumpy. It only took a little thing for him to start complaining. He was quite caustic, quite frank. If he had something to say, he would just throw it at you like that, without necessarily beating around the bush.”. Then add: “He was in the sixth degree. I always heard that she was the biggest lazy person on Earth.. That he hadn’t had the career he could have had. He didn’t do anything, he would have been a great talk show host, or done a bit more filming, or theater. But hey, I think he loved life above all, he was a bon vivant, he loved seeing his friends, he loved playing pétanque every Sunday with his buddies… A life far from show business.
