It is an event that attracts more than 20,000 people and which takes place in the streets of the Presqu’île. The Lyon Braderie Festival began on the afternoon of Friday October 11, at the initiative of the My Presqu’île shopping association. Dozens and dozens of brands are selling off their products until Sunday October 13 inclusive.

And customers are already there with large numbers of visitors to the Presqu’île from Friday with more than 400 businesses mobilized for the occasion. Knowing that the weather will be mild this weekend, people are expected on Saturday and Sunday.

The menu of the Lyon Braderie Festival

The perimeter of the festival extends over almost the entirety of downtown Lyon. It includes the bottom of the Pentes de la Croix Rousse (1st arrondissement) and Place Bellecour (2nd arrondissement), also including rue Victor-Hugo, rue de la Charité and the Confluence Shopping and Leisure Center (Lyon 2nd).

In this area, many merchants have taken over public space and offer items at discounted prices in front of their windows (-20%, -40%, -50% or even -60%). Enough to make very good deals for customers.

A food court on Rue de la République

Four entertainment centers complete this giant clearance sale:

• The Republic Food Court, with 16 Lyon restaurateurs which will offer savory, sweet, coffee shop and especially street food (until 9 p.m. the first two evenings).
• The Jacobins Garden and its florists “are enriched with creators and gourmet specialties around plants. » 14 stands are planned.
• The Sathonay Open Air, which will transform the square into a “large playground for young and old” during the day until 6 p.m., with storytellers, musicians, activities… From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., place on a track dancing, a refreshment bar and DJ sets.
• The Confluence market: second-hand stands, flea markets and garage sales are added to the sale offerings from the shopping center’s brands (until 8 p.m. the first two evenings).

As for times, the Lyon Braderie Festival is held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

An event at Place Bellecour on Saturday

Also note a major event on Saturday organized by Le Petit Paumé place Bellecour, with the free distribution of the 56th edition of the famous Lyon guide.

Numerous stands from Lyon traders and entertainment await visitors from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. It will also be possible to eat with fast food restaurants and a refreshment bar on site.
