A strong speech in a noisy Hemicycle. The day after the commemorations of the attacks of October 7, 2023, MP Julien Odoul attacked his colleagues from La France insoumise.

During questions to the government, the elected RN accused the rebellious parliamentarians of having “put a target on the backs of all the Jews of France”, denouncing the recent speeches of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who called on the students to wave Palestinian and Lebanese flags in universities.

Subsequently, the Yonne MP asked Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau to dissolve the “Urgence Palestine” and “Young Guard” associations, to which the rebellious MP Raphael Arnault belongs.

“No tolerance for anti-Semitism”

In response to Julien Odoul’s question, Bruno Retailleau reaffirmed the words of Michel Barnier during his general policy declaration.

“This government will never have any tolerance towards these anti-Semitic acts,” promised the tenant of Beauvau.

Earlier during this session of questions to the government, Michel Barnier paid tribute to the victims of October 7. “The pain doesn’t go away. We are thinking of the hostages, we will not forget them,” he declared, addressing the families of the two French hostages present at the National Assembly.
