If the role of Lola was written with Dounia Coesens in mind, as revealed by Sébastien Pavard, the producer of the new France 3 series also behind Tandem et Cain, this was not the case for the others, nor for Gaëlle, the forensic doctor. “It was quite funny because when Dounia started this project, we talked about it one evening and the next day I received a casting request, says Elodie Varlet. But there was no intervention, it was chance and we of course let things happen.” His partner, the interpreter of Lola, confirms: “I don’t have a say in any case but Élo was great, they loved it.”
“Tom and Lola was a great opportunity because we wanted to work together again somewhere other than on More beautiful life, admits Elodie Varlet. We were happy to know that we were going to play together again.” And it’s true that between them, one look is enough. “We know each other by heart!”, confirms his partner with unfeigned complicity.
