He is in turmoil, but it is only because of himself: the former star presenter of the Canal+ channel where he succeeded Yann Barthès as presenter of the Little newspaperCyrille Eldin is being tried this Monday, September 23, 2024 for acts of violence and threats of which his ex-partner Sandrine Calvayrac accuses him, reports BFMTV.
From insults to death threats
A television columnist, the latter had, in fact, filed a complaint against the host – and actor in his spare time – on February 9, 2023, in the south of France. He is accused of “habitual violence by spouse” that Cyrille Eldin allegedly committed between 2021 and 2023, while he was living with the complainant in the Paris region.
According to BFMTV, the violence in question was initially psychological, characterized by insults – “bitch, whore, hysterical”, or “without me you’re nothing, you’re homeless”; then they were made death threats in 2022, according to Sandrine Calvayrac (“You deserve a bullet in the head”, “if you’re there when I come home, I’ll slit your throat”, “you deserve a gunshot to the head”).
A semi-automatic at home
Physical threats taken all the more seriously as a semi-automatic revolver was found at the couple’s former home. Cyrille Eldin will also be tried for this unauthorized possession of a weapon in Nanterre, as well as other facts related to the use of narcotics.

As a reminder, Cyrille Eldin and Sandrine Calvayrac met in 2015 and had a child together. A source close to the investigation told BFMTV that the accused had not admitted to all of the facts he is accused of while in police custody in 2023. The 51-year-old host and actor is presumed innocent.
