You said you had never watched Koh-Lanta. What made you sign up?

Lola : I’m not a regular on the show but I obviously knew what I was getting into. It was my best friend, who is a fan of Koh-Lanta, who suggested we sign up together. We applied three years in a row before I was selected.

Did you think about a strategy before you left? How did you plan to stand out?

No, because I am incapable of playing a role or pretending. I was lucky to have been chosen by Fred who is an excellent strategist. He advised me to make an alliance as quickly as possible to go far in the adventure because that is what had worked for him during his previous show.

Were you afraid of anything in particular before leaving?

The only thing I was worried about was living in a community. It’s complicated to be forced to live with people you don’t necessarily have any affinities with.

Lola settles her scores: “Candidates whose first name no one will know even in episode 4″

You have a strong character and this annoys some of your teammates including Alexandre, Fabrice, Jacques… were you aware of this on site?

At this stage of the adventure, not at all, since no one has come to tell me to my face. I was quite surprised by the boys’ comments when I saw the images of their interviews, especially since we don’t see any tension between us on screen. I received a wave of solidarity on social networks, Internet users talk about “relentlessness” towards me, and that’s the term.

The boys unanimously criticize you for putting yourself forward too much, is this a remark that can be made to you in your daily life?

Absolutely not. In real life, people are not intimidated by me… I actually found it strange that Alexandre – who is not even part of the Yellow tribe – allowed himself to talk about me! I get criticized by candidates whose first name no one will know even in episode 4, so it’s not that serious, no hard feelings (laughs)… As for Fabrice, if I were his wife I would be jealous, he talks about me from morning to night (laughs)

2 old heroes are making their return this season, how did you react when you discovered them?

I didn’t recognize them since I hadn’t watched their seasons. I thought their presence was a double-edged sword. They certainly bring all their experience of the game and survival, but at the same time it’s also a danger for us, the new adventurers, because we don’t start with the same cards. Those who are fans of Ugo or Fred are less likely to vote against them at the council for example…

How did you react when you found out there was a third tribe?

I was relieved to find out that the adventurers of the cursed tribe were not really eliminated from the game because I had affinities with some of them. But it adds extra stress to know that you are potentially in danger at each comfort test.

After winning his duel against Emmanuelle, Ilyesse joined the Yellow tribe. A good choice?

He’s a candidate who always has a smile on his face, so it’s nice, but I would have appreciated the return of one of the girls, especially Mélissa, with the departure of Cécile and Emmanuelle we are in the minority.

Censored, Lola mentions the scene cut from the editing: “I have never disrespected anyone”

How do you react to the many comments on social networks, particularly the controversy over the editing emphasizing your curves?

Frankly, it doesn’t affect me. The judgment of people who have never participated in Koh-Lanta and who I don’t know remains worthless. The same goes for the opinions of candidates I’ve only known for 5 days. We always fall into the same societal vice… I practice boxing and I’m used to evolving in a male environment, and no one has ever allowed themselves such a lack of respect in front of me. It’s always easier to criticize when you’re hidden behind a screen.

Julien Magne, producer of ALP, reacted by saying that you had self-fueled this buzz?

I take all this with humor. If I am ever eliminated, what will France and the other candidates talk about? The audience will plummet! (laughs). I haven’t fed anything, I’ve been creating content for 3 years, so I don’t need that.

Julien Magne also claimed to have cut one of your sequences deemed “inappropriate” and in disagreement with “the values of a family program”… Can you enlighten us?

I can’t talk about a sequence that isn’t broadcast, but his turn of phrase suggests that something crazy happened, like an insult, or a fight… When not at all! Thank God, I was well educated and I never disrespected anyone. We’re talking about a non-event, ridiculous or even insignificant, cultural limit of where I come from (Lola is from Martinique, editor’s note).

Are you satisfied with what you see of yourself on screen?

Overall yes, what I am criticized for in the show is what makes me strong in life. That is to say, being sure of myself and taking initiatives. The followers are very happy to hide behind this kind of profile. Until now I have not done badly in the tests, unlike those who criticize me and who string together poor performances.
