Ricard is not only drunk in Marseille… This Monday, Paris Saint-Germain formalized its partnership with the alcoholic beverage group Pernod Ricard, which will now be its sponsor. The contract between the two entities runs until 2028.

“Paris Saint-Germain announces its partnership with Pernod Ricard,” the capital club revealed in a press release. “This new global partnership is the first of its kind for Pernod Ricard, which will showcase the Group’s entire premium brand catalogue. Pernod Ricard now becomes an official global partner and will be the club’s sole supplier of champagne and spirits, with dedicated visibility and communication rights as well as tailor-made experiences.”

The partnership also concerns handball

As the Pernod Ricard group specified for its part, the agreement concerns “men’s and women’s football as an official partner and handball, as an official supplier”. For more than ten years, it has already been the official supplier of wines and spirits to the Paris Saint-Germain hospitality program.

The Ricard brand, which is part of the group, was created by Marseille’s Paul Ricard in 1932. For lovers of pastis and football, signing a partnership with PSG is still somewhat amusing.
