The firefighters used all means to extract the victim from his point of fall. It was the specialized rescuers of the Reconnaissance and Intervention Group in dangerous environments, the Grimp, who intervened and brought him back to the surface.

Taken care of by the emergency medical services teams who were on site, he was not seriously injured. “This person is an employee of a company outside Airbus. He was taken care of by the emergency teams and transported to the hospital for further examinations. We have no additional information to communicate at this stage,” explains an Airbus spokesperson.

Was the equipment that gave way compliant? “The labor inspectorate went to the site at the same time as the national police. We want to understand the causes of this work accident. Investigations will be carried out in the coming hours by the police,” assures the public prosecutor.
