Adele has not spared herself this summer. The star closed a cycle of ten concerts in Munich on August 31 in front of 80,000 people. And it was there that she announced that she would soon be taking a step back from her musical activities.

“I’m not the most comfortable on stage, I know, but I do it really well,” she admitted. “I’ve loved performing for almost three years now, which is my longest performance to date, and probably the longest I’ve ever performed.”

Very tired

It seems that the singer is indeed a little on her last legs. “I’ve been amazing, I just need to rest!” she told the crowd. Adele will therefore be taking a vacation for an “incredibly long time”, by her own admission, but not right away. Indeed, the 36-year-old singer must first finish her residency in Las Vegas at the end of November.

A few weeks ago, Adele confided to the microphone of the German channel ZDF that she wanted to “explore other creative horizons”. Although she did not specify which ones, the singer of Rolling In The Deep also seems very busy on the private front.

During one of her shows on August 9, Adele confirmed her engagement to sports agent Rich Paul by responding to a “marry me” sign held up by a fan in the crowd. “I can’t marry you – because I’m already getting married!” she said.

A new chapter in her life that she spoke about during this last concert in Munich: “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now. I will remember these shows for eternity, they were spectacular.”

The 36-year-old star, who was previously married to entrepreneur Simon Konecki, with whom she has a son, Angelo, 11, had expressed her desire to have a daughter with her partner. No doubt fans will forgive her for this truce which could have a happy ending.
