An actress by profession, Cécilia Hornus is mainly known for her role in the cult series More beautiful life. Within this daily soap opera, which was launched on France 3 in August 2004, the actress lends her features to the character of Blanche Marci since the very first episode of the series aired. In the space of 20 years, Cécilia Hornus has had the opportunity to play opposite many actors. Among them, we can notably cite Thierry Ragueneau, who played her partner in More beautiful life, before becoming his companion a few years later in real life. The actress also had the opportunity to work with Michel Cordes and Marwan Berreni, both of whom unfortunately took their own lives for tragic reasons.
Cécilia Hornus had also confided in the columns of the Dauphiné Libéré. “It’s like when you lose a parent, you have to keep getting up to go to work, take care of the children, buy your bread. The grief was immense for Michel as well as for Marwan. We talk about them, they are with us every day on the set. They are family members who have left, we worked together for years, but there is nothing we can do about it. These are choices, they wrote their destiny. We must respect that and continue to talk about them.“, she had declared. Unfortunately, the actress lost her mother a few weeks later. Friday, September 13, 2024, Cécilia Hornus announced on Instagram that she was in mourning again. Indeed, it was her brother who this time took his last breath.

The actress wanted to pay tribute to him by publishing a photo of him in which he appears with an extremely happy face.A photo that absolutely sums up the person that was my brother Yves who left us last night. Joy of life, epicurean and colorful. It is the valley of tears that is always getting deeper. I think of his children, and of our whole family overwhelmed by this new bereavement.“, also wrote Cécilia Hornus as a caption for this photo. The year 2024 is really not a restful one for the one who reprised her role in More beautiful life since the revival of the series on TF1.
