“Here it is Brest”, Even more than 1,500 kilometers from the city of Ponant, the famous slogan resonated on Tuesday October 1st. 450 Brest supporters made the trip to Austria to encourage the Finistère team which faces Salzburg on the second day of the Champions League.
All afternoon, the Brest fans created a lively atmosphere in the city center. The Red and Whites met in joy and good humor at Place Mozart to share a few beers together.
Then around 4 p.m., they got on buses to head to the stadium. A kilometer before arriving at the enclosure, the supporters got off to finish the journey on foot, under good police escort. A few smoke bombs were fired to raise the temperature. The Ultras joined the visitors’ park around 5:30 p.m. to start setting up a tifo.
A memorable evening awaited for this first trip away from Stade Brestois in the Champions League.
