Valentino brought together its prestigious guests for its spring-summer 2025 fashion show, developed by its newly arrived artistic director: Alessandro Michele. It all starts with the scenography, which says a lot about the general atmosphere of the collection. In subdued lighting, the models walked on a broken glass floor, surrounded by furniture covered in large white veils. A decor reminiscent of an abandoned manor, where the lamps and armchairs have been placed under cover while awaiting the owners’ return.

And this idea of an abandoned castle was found in the clothes. Valentino proposed a certain aristo chic style, marrying a vintage bourgeoisie of the past with bohemian fashion imbued with melancholy.
Polka dots, frills and sequins were particularly highlighted, as Alessandro Michele knows how to do so well. We particularly like the lace tights, both immaculate and bright red.
We love ultra-glamorous fur scarves and fine loungewear-style cardigans with feathers. Transparency was also explored in subtle ways.
For the 2025 summer season, the Italian house is adorning its models with not just one bag but two, a small one and a tote bag. One model even wore a ceramic cat that we could find on our grandmothers’ sideboard, echoing this story from another era.
