There are still a few places available for the guided tour organized by Unipant for Sunday 8 September on some of the most evocative and lesser-known places of the military history of the island. Thanks to the precious presence of Carmine Aciernowho studied and recorded many of the places left on the island by the military and dating back mainly to the pre-war and war period, we will be able to visit the Military Cemetery of Pantelleria and one of the still intact dormitories, hidden under the ridge of Piana Ghirlanda.
A guided tour of discovery and learning of an important and still present part of the island’s history. The guided tour is free, although a free donation will be asked to continue the activities of Unipant, which is self-financed to try to make available to all the cultural events it organizes. The visit will be held in the morning, if necessary divided into two groups, the first at 9.30 and the second at 11.30. Reservations are mandatory and can be made by sending a message to the number 333 3876830 (Whatsapp or Telegram) indicating the name and surname of the person booking and the number of places requested, no later than Saturday 7 September at 12.00.
