Emmanuel Macron urges France and Europe to accelerate their rearmament

In Rennes, Emmanuel Macron put on his warlord outfit. The Head of State seized the opportunity launched by Donald Trump, who is pressing Europe to invest much more in its defense “In a world where rules are disappearing and arsenals are filling up, we must go further and faster”he underlined during his greetings to the armies in Rennes. Facing the “brutalization of the world”the Head of State calls for an acceleration of France's rearmament. In this anxiety-provoking context, he therefore asked the General Secretariat of the Defense and National Security Council (SGDSN) to “propose by May, an update of the National Strategic Review which defines the contours of our global defense and rearmament, including moral”.
