Aston Martin announces 3 major changes for 2025

Huge major changes have just been announced at Aston Martin. Enough to hope for a return to form from the British team during the 2025 season.

Aston Martin’s F1 2024 exercise will have disappointed many observers. Lance Stroll never managed to perform, despite some promise during the first Grands Prix. In total, the Canadian will have only scored 24% of Aston Martin’s points.

For his part, Fernando Alonso tried to play the leading roles before facing the facts. While his future is now in doubt since Flavio Briatore’s statements, the Spaniard dreams that the 2025 F1 season will be synonymous with victory.

The British team changes Team Principal!

Lawrence Stroll may have listened to Alonso’s wishes. The Canadian manager has in any case decided to clean up the management of Aston Martin a little. The British team based at Silverstone has just announced a change of Team Principal.

Andy Cowell will replace Mike Krack. CEO since last summer, Cowell will be responsible for bringing Aston Martin back to the top, after a disappointing 5th place in the manufacturers’ standings.

Mike Krack, for his part, will remain in the British team’s organizational chart. The former F1 engineer will lead the racing team (Chief Trackside Officer). It remains to be seen whether Krack will accept this new position, or will take advantage of this reshuffle to embark on a new challenge in Formula 1.

Another major change in the organization chart: Enrico Cardile has been appointed technical director of equipment. The Italian, former manager at Ferrari, will be the guarantor of the technical advances of the AMR25. An essential position, given the ambitions revealed by Aston Martin regarding its new model for the coming season.
