Third match without a victory for the Parisians, held in check by AJA (0-0), despite a large domination.
The weeks pass and look the same for Paris. Friday evening in Auxerre, as part of the 14th day of L1, PSG went a third consecutive match without a victory, a second draw in the championship, after coming up against a solid and valiant AJA team (0-0) . Luis Enrique's men still have the same offensive problems. The Parisians monopolized the ball throughout the match (73% possession) but were unable to realize their (very) numerous scoring actions. Nothing new in the end.
The collective of the capital is, for sure, well oiled, running well but stalls once it has to conclude its attacks. Achraf Hakimi, on the right flank, continued to offer solutions and project himself into the Auxerre area, the same for his teammate Nuno Mendes on the left wing. Fabian Ruiz showed himself in certain excesses of function and Ousmane Dembélé did not find the key despite his infernal thrusts. The entrants, Randal Kolo Muani and Désiré Doué did not do better. A problem which seems (therefore) symptomatic for the Rouge et Bleu. Gonçalo Ramos, who made a second consecutive start for his side, could have made the difference if he had not come up against the heroic AJA goalkeeper Donovan Léon.
Donovan Léon impassable
The goalkeeper of Christophe Pélissier's team simply disgusted PSG. The Auxerre goalkeeper made 11 saves in this meeting. An exceptional performance. Man of the match without a doubt. Parades, which reflect, certainly, a rare and remarkable performance from the last rampart of the AJA but which also highlights the Parisian impotence in front of the opposing goal. The problem for Paris does not seem to be the playing system but rather the quality of the players in the squad, unable to find the fault against the promoted Yonne.

PSG: “We are always open to the idea of improving the squad”, breathes Luis Enrique before the winter transfer window
Paris SG must really think about strengthening itself in the offensive sector during the winter transfer window in order to overcome this finishing problem which is becoming (much) too recurring, even unhealthy. Without developments in this area, Paris will not move forward and will stagnate. Thanks to this draw, Auxerre temporarily remains in eighth place in the ranking. For its part, Paris, which could have suffered its first defeat of the season in the league without the saving save from Donnarumma (71st) remains leader but is stalling and is not reassured before going to Salzburg on Tuesday for a match ( more than) capital in the Champions League.
