SLIDESHOW – After a weekend marked by Wembanyama's performance, Liverpool's victory against Manchester City or even PSG's new poor performance, find out what pleased… and displeased the editorial staff of the Figaro.
Another weekend rich in sport which saw certain individuals triumph, such as Victor Wembanyama, author of an XXL performance with the Spurs as well as his third triple-double in his career. In football, Mohamed Salah was the man of the match for Liverpool by delivering an assist and scoring the penalty to confirm the Reds' victory against Manchester City (2-0). Finally, Vannes achieved the feat of the weekend in the Top 14 by beating La Rochelle on their lawn (14-23).
The flops of the weekend are awarded to PSG, FC Barcelona and Manchester City, all authors of major poor performances. If the first two lost points against teams much inferior to them, the Citizens suffered their sixth defeat in seven matches, an overwhelming situation for Pep Guardiola who is experiencing a first in his coaching career.
