Hungry for sport, he grew up to the sound of Formula 1 engines and the exploits of Ronaldinho. Today, with a Master's degree in sports journalism, he no longer misses an Grand Prix or a PSG match, his two passions and specialties.

During the previous summer transfer window, the departure of Kylian Mbappé forced PSG to look for offensive reinforcements. At least that's what everyone thought. And for good reason, the capital club ultimately did not recruit anyone, not even a new center forward. It must be said that this is a choice by Luis Enrique who quickly decided that Gonçalo Ramos will be his number 1 option in this position this season.

The previous summer transfer window could have been synonymous with revolution for the PSG. And for good reason, at the end of the contract, Kylian Mbappé left to engage with the Real Madrid. A situation which could have pushed the capital club to recruit a big name to strengthen its offensive sector. Several names were circulated, but no one showed up. And for good reason, Luis Enrique had made a radical decision on the transfer market.

Ramos, the number 1 option for Luis Enrique

Indeed, according to information from THE TEAMthe coach of PSG never asked for offensive reinforcements, and especially not a number 9. And for good reason, Luis Enrique quickly decided to trust Gonçalo Ramoswho he considered his number 1 option at center forward. He even thought that the former Benfica scorer would take on a new dimension with the departure of Kylian Mbappé.

An imminent return?

However, this plan quickly fell through with the injury of Gonçalo Ramos from the first day of Ligue 1 to Havre. « Victim of a serious ligament sprain of the left ankle ”, as specified by the PSG via a press release, the Portuguese striker should however soon make his return to competition. Before the end of November, Luis Enrique should be able to rely on who he considers to be his number 1 option for the center forward position.
